Greenbiz.com is the flagship website of Greener World Media, a mainstream media company focused entirely on sustainability. The blogs page of the site rounds up the latest posts from a range of environmental and sustainability blogs, covering subjects such as energy efficiency, ethical shopping, green business and solar power.
Lower (Carbon) Footprint is a blog by Tom Raftery, who describes himself as “a communicator, blogger, podcaster and social media consultant”. The blog offers information on lowering carbon footprints and green issues in general. It is an excellent source of news and data for anyone concerned with sustainability.
Sustainablog provides information on environmental and economic sustainability, green and sustainable business, and environmental politics. Regularly featured on the blog are environmental leaders and experts in alternative energy and green technology, as well as other people trying to reduce their environmental footprint.
EcoGeek is run and edited by Hank Green who says he “spends most of his time thinking about how our brains can save our planet”. The site is devoted to exploring the symbiosis between nature and technology. Green says: “Technology can be a force for evil, or for awesome. Mother Earth News is a an American magazine about sustainable, self-reliant living. The blog contains a range of environmental news, from issues such as global warming and protecting the environment, to the use of disposal and single-use products in the home.
My Green Element is the blog of FD Element, which offers clients services such as green branding, poltical counsel, building environmental alliances and television and online advertising. The blog serves up daily headlines on green issues from a variety of online sources. All kinds of environmental angles are covered, such as global warming, carbon emissions, legislation and political news.
The New American Dream is on a mission to “help Americans consume responsibly to protect the environment, enhance quality of life and promote social justice”. It works with people and organisatons to conserve natural resources, “counter the commercialisation of our culture and promote positive changes in the way goods are produced and consumed”. The blog offers news and opinion on the latest green and sustainability developments.
