When are we going to be honest and brave enough to call neoliberalism what it is, fascism. Read as many definitions and objectives of fascism as you can and you will find there is no difference between neoliberalism and fascism. We have to bring the word fascism back into the popular language to describe neoliberalism.
Because it is likely to make people bristle, lampoon them like Charlie Chaplin lampooned Hitler.
Having read Naomi Klein a year ago started me ona path to beng educated about neoliberalism. I have asked dozens of people if they know what neoliberalism is.
95%of the population have no idea, which is the perfect environment to operate in.
They sense that there is something wrong but they dont know what to peg it on and it is so easily explained.

Based on this article, is there any reason why we aren't all using solar. No more excuses. Save the planet by freeing ourselves from the grid. Should be a no brainer.

As a fan of literature and sustainability this was an interesting find!

I like the idea of stimulating a space race type competition to solve our global warming ways, although I can't help but chuckle dimly - isn't the threat of total planet wide annihilation reason enough for us to come up with a solution?!

A thoughtful piece, thanks!

Hi,

My name is Amanda Kidd and I am a frequent reader of your blog. I am also a blogger who writes for different blogs. I would love the opportunity to guest post for your readers and I have few ideas which I think would go down really well.

I can see the following two possibilities:
1) I can suggest you few topics related to your site theme. You can choose any one out of them, and then I can submit the final article in a day or two.
2) Or you can suggest me a specific theme you would like me to write on.

All I would require is li’l credit in author’s bio at the end or beginning of the post (as per your editorial guidelines).
Let me know if this works well with you too.

Thanks

Great realistic blog. Using eco disposables for the first few weeks is very often what we actually recommend! Reusable nappies are fab and have come a long way since terry squares! If you fancy earning some extra money selling real nappies please get in touch. We will soon be offering an affilliate scheme for bloggers and anyone with a website soon too :-)

You make an interesting point about capitalizing on the decentralization dogma of the neoliberal ideology (it's worth noting that many in the US, where conservatives revile liberals as a matter of course, many wouldn't know what that term means). But another effect of this is the meteoric rise of corporatism, and corporations are merging into fewer and fewer, more powerful entities -- entitites that are more and more intimately intertwined with government. In other words, while we may have ostensibly less centralization of nominal government, we still seem to have more and more consolidation of power. I suppose this is where "voting with your dollars" comes in. But Chris Hedges is almost certainly right, and his points are similar to yours: bona fide grass roots movements are the last real hope.
